ISSUES CONFRONTING THE YOUTH TODAY, WHAT ARE THEIR NEEDS & HOW CAN WE MEET THEIR NEEDS". Here are some questions:
1. What are the youth of today like?
2. Could we or should we profile them?
3. How do they think, and what are they thinking?
4. What are their needs and concern?
5. How do we gain a better understanding of today’s youth in order to effectively reach them for Christ

1. One word to describe the youth of today---->globalized
2.You could profile them with unique identities according to your likeness..but most of them don't even know their identity and value.
3.Hmmmm...tough question. Not sure.. but a few things I am sure of.. One question most of them will surely ask themselves.. "why am I living?"
As for those who has goals and motivation in life, their thinking would be base on their dreams and goals.
4.Needs & concern:
Attention,friendship,love, Goals, motivation, family
5.Ask youself and put yourself in their shoes, what do you want people to do for you if you are them?
hope this helps James..
thanks bau...do give me ur link next time
1) Youths today are multicultural. I say that in the sense that the culture we youths are brought up are all different. I might be from Malaysia, and coming to America with some mixes, I've grown to be totally different from what I could have been if I was living in Malaysia all my life with my friends there. So, it really is different all around.
2) No way. There is no way to distinguish today's youth since it's pretty much in too many categories. It's just like the different races of the world.
3) They just want themselves to be well off and don't have to worry. If you cannot accomodate what they want, then you're nothing to them. There are a lot of exeptions out there, so don't take it that I'm saying every single youth.
4) Youth's needs are simple nowadays. Just give them what they need and they'll be happy. This society most of the time is "me, me, and me." Even I fall down into that category sometimes.
5) I'd say study and look around the behavior. Sometimes, they're not the same approach, so we learn from mistakes. Try one approach and if it doesn't work, you already tried. At least you did something, God wants us to take action, not just think about it. If think too much, fish might swim somewhere else, and you won't get your chance.
