Serving Servant

Good day, can i take your order please?..Ha, those where the words out of my mouth for the past 2 days. Yes i'm in the Food and Beverage department now, currently training in the coffee house, which operates 24hours including room services.
I'm not really a big fan of serving people food and drinks, but it is required of me. On the other hand do don't mind doing this, reminds me of how Christ humbled himself in serving people. I had the opportunity to do some room services last nght, to 2 rooms, room 579 and room 355..from room 355 i got a lil'tip from the guest, well its very little but i appreciate it. Shows that at least this guest appreciates my hospitality and my effort to go all the way to the end to serve him food.

What i didn't like last night was that i was asked to wipe dry plates, for ala carte service. Mind you its not only like 20 plates of anything like that...i had to wipe clean over 450 plates and over a 100 cutleries. Now you know why i don't like to be in that, and while doing the plates, i was sweating like i had just finish a 2 hours basketball game!! Had to go change before going back to the restuarant to serve.
As i was doing the dishes, i was frustrated and upset, because they asked me to do these many dishes without giving me a helping hand!! Walking by me like there was nothing hard, and i was about to give up doing it and considering quiting at that point! I remembered..i remembered..what ah chu told me a few weeks ago, when i was complaining about heavy work load, she told me that in everything, do everything as if you are doing for Christ, put in your best and never give up. Hanging onto those words, i continued wiping and wiping..knowing that even though no one notice this hard and sweaty work, but deep down inside I knew God saw and puts it in account.

Working is no simple thing, trust me...i always thought that "How nice it would be to finish studies as soon as possible and start work" Thinking that it would more entertaining and fulfilling to do so, but now when i'm doing my internship, i really wished i was back in school or college.. It is a whole different experience and pressure..I'm very blessed to have survive each day
