M.A.D

Just came back from klang wesley. After their believe it or not, MAD camp!!, it would say it was truly madly awesome! I was there as a helper, and also a worship leader. Imaging, playing a life game at 3am in the morning, and these people are still active..wow..crazy. So what does MAD means? Making A Difference, that's what it means.
So, on friday after my exam i went down to klang for the first time using a ktm train, took me about half an hour, then when i reach ther, shawn met me up along with elaine(pianiest) and kenny kee,so we make our way to klang wesley. It look rather quiet when i arrived,like no one was around for a camp tho. Anyways shawn guided me to our lil, meeting place which was a small hall way,and there...was phoebe,abishua,aaron i was so thrill to see abishua and phoebe again, siblings.
Abishua is a awesome musican, a total bass guitar player and phoebe his sister is one of a kind singer, awesome voice. Aaron and elaine was rather new to me, they are musicans too, elaine plays the keyboard and aaron the drum, they kinda look good together hehe. So here it is the worship team, tho we were lack of a elec guitarist and an accustic, so i acquire them from klang wesley, wilbur and ben. There a complete team now, so we started our first practice at 5pm for the first worship session which will be on at 11.30pm!! Could you believe that, well this was my 1st time leading worship so late at night.
But before that, from 9pm til 10.45pm we had a team hunt game, it was good. Shawn planned the game, the campers are divided into teams,a nd each team has a candle, which symbolises their life span, once the candle is blown out, they have to retreat to the fire camp to light their fire again, hahah it was fun trying to blow off the fire, tho i got smack many times, not by boys but by GIRLS.
Worship was awesome, people just praise and worship the Lord, eventhough they are tired and sweaty, but i could see the excitement and enthusiasm for God!! Awesome, i would call it mad. Later that nite at 12am, the next game was started, it lasted till the next day 3.30pm. it is call the life game, which is base on the book "Purpose driven life", each one was given an evelope containing some papers and a sum of money, so their task was to use what they have to obtain a job and increase their salary point, happiness and fame. At 1st everyone looks puzzle and looked clueless about the game, but when it took them only one round to figure out the game and the next time i could see some of them was earning 10,000 for their salary, there was even a joint partnership/venture. Haha, then soon after that(on the next day-afternoon) coming to the end of the game, some had their hand mark, some didn't. Soon after lunch it was the finale, no one knew it except for the staff(including me). Soon after that, people without the mark was denied their rights of doing business, or anything at all. Some was thrown in jail, being questioned . A former "pastor"-one of the campers- was thrown in jail for recruting members for a so call secret socialty, and each of his members was pin point down and forced to deny christ, many fought back and refuse to deny Christ(eventhough it was a game). In the end, it all comes down to one Man, Jesus Christ...He came again, this time to bring his people up, and the dead will rise first.

In conculsion, it was awesome to see the willingness, the strength and enthusiasm these people has for God, i'm very proud!! to see some of these people ready to even die for Christ, unwilling to deny Him in the presence of the pressure! This is how real life is, the work, the fame people seek, the wealth,earthy happiness,these things which only last for a while. Things we cannot take to where we go after death, but staying the course, looking forward and pursuing the heart of God, catching his happiness,obtaining his wealth and displaying his fame, these are the very things that will last us for eternity. No ours but of God to us!!
