How many of you have already watched this movie "The Guardian"? I have, it really touches my heart, in the beginning you would this its just another larger than life, fiction kinda movie (well at least that was what i thought. But as the story unfolds and towards the end of the movie something caught my attention. It was this phrase (SO THAT OTHERS MIGHT LIVE) What a deep and daring statement, and that was what the coast guard did...
Risking their lives in the most voilent storms, strongest waives even if it was just for one life, they would risk their life to save even if it was just one soul. How unselfish is that? But, eventhough they put in all their effords and strength, their life, they can only save that many, and many other perishes. What i wanna bring to point is that, it really took all of a person to do what these people do, and they have my utmost respect.
As these thoughts run thru my mind, there was another waive of thought running thru as well and as i ponder on the second thought, it hit me...
The one man, we unselfishly, undoubtedly, willing gave up his life so that -all- others may live!. So that you and me have a second shot at life...a new opportunity, a new reason to live. He chose the path where he knew it would hurt him the most, giving up his rights and power, his majesty. Taking on as a commoner, in humility and love, chose that very cursed tree, on that hill of skull.
But what he did was beyond universal logical explaination. He said, i come that you may have life and have it to the full. Turning what seems to be a curse into a total blessing, turning that tree into a symbol of humility and humbleness. Turning death into life for all, a second chance in life. Yes even to the coast gaurd everywhere on earth.
Till this very day He still saves people, and all of us at some point in life may go thru a period of "ruff winds and enormous storms, rushing waives" We all have a saviour to look to, whos love is unconditional, whose mercy endures, whose grace is so abundant, whose patience knows no bounderies. He is the saviour..My saviour...
