As i was reading this book called "The power to change your life", suddenly a friend behind me said this, "why do you wanna read that book? The power to change your life is in your hands"
Well i do agree with him, that's very true.
As i think on, how true is that statement? I mean if he says the "power is in your hands" why then do people still stay the same year after year. Speaking of changes, i was in cf yesterday, Ps mike spoke about new year resolutions, one thing he said that really caught me was that, if you make resolutions and tells yourself that you are going to change for the better, but in life all you could think of was how bad it was before, and then you stick to the old ways. How then can you change life?
Example, if i were to say." Its a new year, i wanna change the way i think about people, for the better"..but then i start to get fuzzy and irritated when i bumb into the person who irritates me the most the last year and i start talking and thinking bad about him. Now am i change? Yes u might say that it takes time, what's the use if at the first day u saw this irritating guy, and all you can think of are negative stuff.
The world today is so negative, media has a big impact in that part.
John Dewey said that the most useful virtue is patience. So you might wanna ask this question "How patient am i" in..interruptions, inconveniences, irritation and inactivity?
If one says that he has the power to change his life, then has he overcome all those i've mention above? I'm not just saying completing it infront of people and of those particular persons, but when you are alone and in your thoughts and minds..Saying it is one thing, but showing and carrying it out is another big thing. I'm not just talking about non-christians, but also christians, you might think your life is heading the right way, but the fact is that we are all inperfect. Ever face a time when your day was just down the drain, everything seems bad and the world just seems to throw everything at you? All you could then think of is just to run away, run from all those problems, well guess again, running away is never the salution and the more you run the harder those problems wage on you.
God is the only way for us to solve this massive issue. But remember, everything that happens in your life, there is a lesson to learn, a blessing behind it. To God, your past has a future...Don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

I wanted to read that book because I have it now, but I guess I am to lazy :p but I did turn to one page of the book and read. It really impacts me about changing despite just one small paragraph...
Happy CNY but not going to see you! I going to rot at Singapore!
