Today's Journey

Woke up very early this morning, i've never woke up this early since National service. Woke up bout 6am today coz i have to be in coll early today, my group is in charge of restaurant service today, and i was appointed the restaurant manager according to alphebatical order.
So here i was at 8.15am in college, with the most formal dress code i've ever worn, first time doing this and i was blank and blur, had the name of the restaurant spell wrongly in the menus, gosh. Don't know how to do the planning on the whiteboard, thinking that it was already bad enough for me, along came a group mate this morning itself, telling me" james i can't find any guest". I was talking to myself inside saying " oh gosh, why now!!??" Later on my lecturer came and told me we have 36pax. Ah..pheww, was the words i had in my heart, finally everything is settled, enough guest, enough servers. Just as i thought everything was perfect and well, along came 3 bad news, not one but 3!!!!
Unbelievable!!! 3 of them are not coming, i called them, 2 picked up the phone and another one well according to resources, he had 30 miss calls on his pathetic phone. Oh man i was so pissed off, so confuse. As it was my 1st time incharge of it, so my lecturer told me well if they don't appear, you will have to serve one of the tables. So it happens as times past non of the 3 turn up.
When it was time for lunch, people came in like a flood, and i was running here and there like mad, rearranging some errors in the orders, informing the guest that their food will be late, going up to the entrance to welcome guest and introduce them to their server for the day, running back to the kitchen and do some stuff there. Gosh it was hectic
All in all the day went well despite some technical problems here and there, i guess God was always there with me all along, and i regretted not asking Him for help but always turning to others, confession to make LOrd. I'm sorry for neglecting you. But thanks so much for all that u have given me and bless me. At the end of the they a had a huge compliment from my lecturer, he told me that i did well, not perfect but well, hey its good enough for a beginner to begin with.
He also said that for what he see, my performance and stuff, i would be most suitable in kitchen and restaurant. Cool!!
All glory be to God, my Lord. LAstly i only left the restaurant after 3.30pm. Signing off now...do drop some comments..
